Why our pricing is different

Most messaging platforms make money twice: once on the subscription you pay them, and again on a quiet markup added to every WhatsApp message you send. As your volume grows, that hidden margin grows with it — so the more successful your campaigns, the more your tooling quietly taxes you. We think that is backwards. Your cost per conversation should fall as you scale, not rise.

So Saaro Connect charges for the platform and nothing else. WhatsApp conversation fees are passed through at Meta’s exact published rate, with no per-message markup whatsoever. Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, inbound SMS and email carry no Saaro fee at all. The only usage-based cost on top of your subscription is the optional AI voice agent, which is metered transparently per connected minute from a prepaid wallet you control. That is the entire pricing model — no surprises, no asterisks.

Even the free Starter plan gives you the real product, not a crippled demo: a unified inbox on the official WhatsApp Business API, AI-drafted replies, and the compliance guardrails that keep your number safe. Because the platform is the same underneath, upgrading never means migrating. Your contacts, conversations, templates and automations all carry over the moment you change plans, and you can move up or down whenever your needs change.

How WhatsApp conversation pricing works

It helps to understand the two layers of cost when you run WhatsApp at scale. The first layer is Meta’s conversation pricing: Meta bills per 24-hour conversation window, at rates that vary by country and by conversation category — marketing, utility, authentication or service. Service conversations started by your customer are often the cheapest, while proactive marketing templates cost more. Saaro Connect always passes these through at cost, and shows you a live estimate before any campaign sends, so you are never surprised by a bill.

The second layer is the platform subscription you pay Saaro Connect, which covers the inbox, broadcasting, automations, analytics and everything else. Keeping these two layers cleanly separate — and refusing to mark up the first — is what lets you forecast spend accurately and keep your unit economics healthy as you grow into new markets.

Pricing for the AI voice agent

The AI voice agent is the one part of Saaro Connect that is metered, and we have made it as transparent as possible. Each paid plan includes a monthly allowance of connected minutes; beyond that, you draw from a prepaid wallet at a clear per-minute rate, and you are only ever charged for calls that actually connect. You can set spend caps and alerts so a campaign can never run away with your budget, and every minute is accounted for against the outcomes it produced — confirmed orders, completed reminders, captured feedback.
